Potholes are road imperfections that vary in size, from small, shallow dips to large, deep craters, posing risks to vehicles and drivers.

The current reason for potholes trending is the government's warning to local councils to fix them in order to receive a portion of the £1.6 billion earmarked for road repairs, as well as the proposed “Pot for Potholes Act” which aims to fund road repairs through a tax on recreational marijuana.
