Chaitanya Baghel is the son of Bhupesh Baghel, the former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh.
According to multiple news sources, including NDTV and News18, Chaitanya Baghel was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday morning in connection with a liquor scam. ED officials raided the residence of Bhupesh Baghel in Bhilai and took Chaitanya into custody. The searches were conducted in connection with a probe into alleged irregularities in the allotment of licenses to liquor manufacturers in Chhattisgarh. A report by NDTV stated that Chaitanya Baghel was detained by ED for questioning in the liquor scam case.
