The Korean War refers to the conflict between North Korea, aided by China, and South Korea, aided by the United Nations with the United States as the principal participant, that took place from 1950 to 1953.
According to historical records, the Korean War began on June 25, 1950, when North Korea invaded South Korea, and it ended with the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement on July 27, 1953. Recently, North Korea's leader Kim Jong Un vowed to win an anti-US battle on the 72nd anniversary of the Korean War. This comes as the United States and South Korea marked the anniversary with ceremonies and events. A ceremony was held in Burnaby, Canada, to mark Korean War Veterans Day.
